Making the Pizza
  1. Season short ribs with salt and pepper. Sear in a skillet over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes on each side until brown. Cook in a slow cooker with broth on low for 6-8 hours. Shred meat and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter. Sauté onions and garlic until translucent. Stir in heavy cream and let simmer. Add shredded smoked gouda until melted. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Roll out pizza dough to about 12-inch round. Transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Pre-bake in a 475°F oven for 5 minutes.
  4. Spread gouda cream sauce over pre-baked dough. Top with shredded short ribs and any additional toppings.
  5. Bake assembled pizza for 12-15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
  6. Let pizza cool for a few minutes. Drizzle with olive oil and garnish with fresh herbs. Serve hot.

Notes

For best results, ensure short ribs are tender and pre-bake the dough for a crispy crust. Allow pizza to cool slightly before cutting for easier serving.
