Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and gather the ingredients.

  3. Coat the chicken thighs in the marinade and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Peel and chop russet potatoes into even chunks, cook in salted boiling water until fork-tender.
  5. Drain the potatoes, then mash with milk, butter, and smoked gouda until creamy.
  6. Arrange marinated chicken thighs in a baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes until cooked through.
  7. Serve chicken alongside the creamy mashed potatoes.
