- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish generously with butter or non-stick spray.
- Cut your day-old white bread into 1-inch cubes and layer half in the greased baking dish.
- Layer the ham, turkey, and Swiss cheese evenly over the first layer of bread.
- Add the remaining bread cubes on top, pressing down gently.
- Whisk together the large eggs, milk, maple syrup, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layered ingredients and let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Drizzle melted butter evenly over the top of the casserole.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to rest for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
- Serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar and with maple syrup on the side.
