Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Gather all your ingredients.
  2. In a large bowl, combine all-purpose flour, almond flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk well. Add non-dairy milk, vegan yogurt, and almond extract. Stir until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whisk vegan cream cheese, a touch of sugar, and almond extract until blended.
  4. Grease a springform pan, and pour half the batter. Add cream cheese filling and cover with remaining batter.
  5. Mix remaining flour, sugar, and sliced almonds for the topping. Sprinkle over the batter.
  6. Bake for approximately 70 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick.
  7. Allow cooling in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then run a knife around the edge and remove the springform.
  8. Once fully cooled, slice and dust with powdered sugar if desired. Serve with coffee or tea.
