Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Peel and thinly slice 5-6 medium-sized sweet potatoes into uniform medallions. Arrange the slices in a greased baking dish.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter. Stir in ½ cup of brown sugar, ¾ cup of water, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, ½ teaspoon of ground cloves, and ½ teaspoon of ground nutmeg. Cook until smooth and bubbling, about 3-5 minutes, then remove from heat.
- Gently brush about ¾ of the warm sauce over the arranged sweet potatoes, reserving the remaining sauce.
- Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until fork-tender.
- After baking, remove the foil, drizzle on the remaining sauce, and sprinkle with chopped pecans and mini marshmallows.
- Set your oven to broil and place the dish under the broiler for 1-2 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning.
- Allow the dish to cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.

Notes
Use a mandoline slicer for uniform slices. Soak sweet potatoes in water to prevent browning. Watch closely while broiling to achieve a perfect golden brown finish without burning.
