Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to bake the pie evenly.
  2. Peel and slice four medium apples into 1/4-inch thick pieces. Pour 1/3 cup of lemon juice over the slices.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine 2 tbsp + 1 tsp of all-purpose flour, 1/4 cup + 1 tsp of granulated sugar, and 1/2 tsp of ground cinnamon.
  4. Roll out your pie crust and place it into a pie dish. Sprinkle a thin layer of the flour-sugar mixture on the bottom.
  5. Drain the apple slices and toss them with the prepared dry ingredients until fully coated.
  6. Layer the coated apple slices into the prepared pie crust and drizzle 3 to 6 tbsp of caramel sauce between the layers.
  7. Create a lattice crust or place a whole top crust with slits for steam to escape, and brush with an egg wash.
  8. Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  9. Cool the pie for 30 minutes on a wire rack to let the filling set before slicing.
