  • 3 cups all-purpose flour can use whole wheat flour

  • 0.5 cup baking soda do not substitute
For Brushing and Topping
  • 1 cup plant milk any plant-based milk
  • to taste coarse salt or seasoning sea salt or everything bagel seasoning recommended

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Activate the yeast by whisking together warm water, active dry yeast, and brown sugar. Let it sit until frothy.
  2. Make the dough by mixing yeast mixture with salt and olive oil, then gradually add flour to form a soft dough. Knead for 5 minutes and let rise until doubled.
  3. Shape the bunny pretzels by dividing the dough and rolling into ropes, twisting them into bunny shapes, and placing on a baking sheet.
  4. Boil pretzels in a pot of water with baking soda for 15 to 20 seconds each, then return to the baking sheet.
  5. Brush with plant milk and sprinkle with salt. Bake at 400°F for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
