  • 2 tablespoons Chili Seasoning or mix of paprika, cumin, oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Salt adjust to taste

  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese cheddar or colby jack
  • 1 fruit Avocado diced
  • 0.5 cup Fresh Cilantro chopped
  • 1 cup Sour Cream or Greek yogurt

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Prepare the spice mix by combining chili seasoning spices in a small bowl.
  2. Chop onion, jalapeño, and garlic, placing them in separate bowls.
  3. Brown the ground beef in a skillet for about 5 minutes until no longer pink, then drain fat.
  4. Stir in spice mix, salt, onion, garlic, and half the jalapeño; cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Transfer the beef mixture to the crockpot, add tomatoes and beans, stirring gently.
  6. Mix in reserved bean paste and remaining seasoning; combine thoroughly.
  7. Cook on low heat for 4 to 6 hours until flavors meld.
  8. Adjust seasoning 30 minutes before serving, if necessary.
  9. Serve the chili hot, garnished with optional toppings.
