  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese or nutritional yeast for dairy-free
  • 1 large Egg or a flax egg for vegan
  • 1/4 cup Parsley can substitute with basil or cilantro
  • 2 cloves Minced garlic or garlic powder if short on fresh
  • 1 Tbsp Lemon juice or lime juice
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
For the Avocado Sauce
  • 1 ripe Avocado
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt or sour cream for a lighter option
  • 1 Tbsp Lime juice
  • 1 clove Garlic or roasted garlic for milder flavor

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine salmon, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, parsley, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Mix until just combined.
  3. Form mixture into meatballs about the size of a golf ball and place them on the baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes until golden brown and firm.
  5. Blend avocado, Greek yogurt, lime juice, and garlic until smooth to prepare the avocado sauce.
  6. Serve baked meatballs warm with avocado sauce for dipping.
