  • 8 oz Cream Cheese softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter melted
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar

  • 1 cup Sweetened Shredded Coconut or unsweetened as a substitute
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Pecans can substitute with walnuts or slivered almonds
  • 1/2 cup Chocolate Chips for gooey bites

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Sprinkle shredded coconut evenly in the bottom of the baking dish, then layer the chopped pecans on top.
  3. Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to package instructions, mixing in eggs, oil, and water until just combined.
  4. Pour the chocolate cake batter over the coconut and pecans in the baking dish.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine softened cream cheese, melted butter, and powdered sugar until smooth.
  6. Dollop the cream cheese mixture over the cake batter and gently swirl without overmixing.
  7. Scatter chocolate chips on top of the batter for extra chocolate flavor.
