- Wash cucumbers and cherry tomatoes under cool running water. Dice the cucumbers and halve the tomatoes.
- Finely chop the red onion and set aside.
- If using raw bacon, fry in a skillet over medium heat until golden brown. Allow to cool and chop into small pieces.
- In a large bowl, combine diced cucumbers, halved tomatoes, and chopped onion. Stir gently.
- Fold in crumbled bacon and shredded cheese.
- Pour ranch dressing over the mixture and add chopped dill. Stir to coat evenly.
- Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste and mix.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.
- Before serving, toss gently to redistribute ingredients and dressing.
