  1. In a medium bowl, combine warm water and sugar, stir to dissolve, then sprinkle yeast and let sit until frothy.
  2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Mix until a sticky dough forms without kneading.
  3. Cover the bowl and let the dough rise in a warm spot for 1-1.5 hours until doubled in size.
  4. Prepare toppings by mincing garlic and grating Parmesan. Chop any herbs if using.
  5. Drizzle olive oil in a baking pan, transfer dough, and stretch to cover the bottom.
