Step-by-Step Instructions for Fried Burrata
  1. In a medium saucepan, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic cloves and sauté until fragrant. Stir in tomato paste, cooking until it darkens slightly. Pour in heavy cream, mixing well, then season with salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, and dried basil. Let it simmer on low while you prepare the fried burrata.
  2. Prepare your breading station by drying the burrata carefully. Set up flour seasoned with salt and pepper, whisked eggs, and panko breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning.
  3. Gently dredge the drained burrata in the seasoned flour, then coat it in the whisked eggs, followed by the breadcrumb mixture. Set aside.
  4. In a deep skillet, heat about 1-2 inches of oil to 350°F. Carefully place the breaded burrata into the hot oil, frying until golden brown and crispy.
  5. On a warm plate, spoon a generous amount of the spicy vodka-style sauce. Place the fried burrata on top, garnish with fresh basil or Parmesan cheese, and serve immediately.
