Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the canned pizza dough on a floured surface and cut into 30 equal squares.
- Slice mozzarella cheese sticks into roughly 30 pieces, about 1 inch long.
- Place a mozzarella piece in the center of each dough square, fold over and seal tightly.
- Arrange the dough balls on the baking sheet to form a Christmas tree shape.
- Whisk the egg and water together for egg wash and brush it on the dough balls.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 16-18 minutes until golden brown.
- Melt butter and stir in half of the grated Parmesan, garlic, parsley, rosemary, and basil.
- Brush the baked bread with the herb garlic butter and sprinkle remaining Parmesan on top.
- Serve immediately with marinara or pesto sauce for dipping.
