Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Peel and slice the apples into 1/4-inch thick slices, and coat with lemon juice to prevent browning.
  2. Combine the flour, granulated sugar, and cinnamon in a separate bowl. Sprinkle flour and sugar mixture in the bottom of your pie crust.
  3. Drain apple slices, pat dry, and toss with the flour mixture. Layer in pie crust, drizzling caramel sauce with each layer.
  4. Roll out the second pie crust, cut into strips, and weave over the filling for a lattice design. Brush top with beaten egg and sprinkle raw sugar.
  5. Bake in preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and bubbling. Cover edges with foil if browning too quickly.
  6. Let the pie cool at room temperature for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
