Step-by-Step Instructions for Butterbeer Popcorn
- In a medium saucepan, melt 1 stick of unsalted butter over medium heat. Stir in 1 cup of dark brown sugar until dissolved, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and mix in 1 cup of butterscotch chips until melted. Add 1 teaspoon of baking soda.
- Prepare about 10-12 cups of popcorn using an air popper or microwave. Place the popcorn in a large mixing bowl.
- Drizzle the Butterbeer sauce evenly over the popcorn and toss gently to coat every piece.
- Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C). Spread the coated popcorn on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
- Once baked, let the popcorn cool completely on the baking sheet before transferring it to an airtight container.
