Cooking Directions
- Bring a large pot of heavily salted water to a rolling boil. Add pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Thinly slice the brussels sprouts and set them aside.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy, about 6-8 minutes. Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels, leaving some grease in the skillet.
- Add shredded brussels sprouts and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Sauté for 3-5 minutes until tender, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for an additional 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Combine drained pasta, bacon, pesto, lemon juice, and parmesan in the skillet. Mix over heat for 2-3 minutes until well combined.
- Serve immediately while hot, garnished with additional parmesan if desired.

Notes
For best flavor, use fresh garlic and grate your own parmesan from a block. You can store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
