Cooking Steps
- In a large pot, bring water to a rolling boil, adding a pinch of salt and a splash of oil. Add broccoli and cook for 3-5 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Drain thoroughly.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add bacon strips. Cook for 5-7 minutes until crisp. Remove bacon, leaving drippings in the pan.
- In the same skillet, lower the heat and sauté garlic in the bacon drippings for 1-2 minutes until golden brown. Whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and some water; pour into the skillet and stir for 10 seconds until combined.
- Gently add the drained broccoli, ensuring it's coated with sauce. Stir gently to avoid breaking florets, then add crispy bacon and mix until distributed.
