- Combine the thawed and dried hash browns with melted butter, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl.

- Remove the crust from the oven and add shredded cheddar cheese, sausage or bacon, bell pepper, and green onions.
- Form shallow wells in the toppings and crack an egg into each well.
