  • 1 tablespoon Grated Ginger Ground ginger is a substitute
For the Bowl Base
  • 2 cups White/Brown Rice Quinoa or cauliflower rice for low-carb option
  • 2 cups Vegetables Bell peppers, broccoli, carrots, etc.
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil Olive or grapeseed oil are substitutes
For the Spicy Cream Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream Greek yogurt or vegan sour cream as alternatives
  • 2 tablespoons Gochujang Sriracha as an alternative
  • 1 tablespoon Honey Agave syrup as vegan alternative
  • 1 tablespoon Lime Juice Lemon juice can substitute
For Garnishing
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds Optional
  • 2 stalks Green Onions Chives can be used

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Marinate the Steak: In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Place steak in a resealable bag with the marinade and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Cook the Rice: Prepare rice according to package instructions. Fluff with a fork and keep warm.
  3. Make the Spicy Cream Sauce: Combine sour cream, gochujang, honey, and lime juice in a small bowl. Whisk until smooth.
  4. Prepare the Vegetables: Chop vegetables into bite-sized pieces.
Cooking
  1. Cook the Steak: Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear marinated steak for 4-5 minutes on each side. Let rest for 5 minutes.
  2. Sauté the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add chopped vegetables and stir-fry for 3-5 minutes.
  3. Slice the Steak: After resting, slice steak against the grain.
  4. Assemble the Bowls: Start with cooked rice, layer sliced steak and sautéed vegetables.
  5. Drizzle with Sauce: Add spicy cream sauce over the assembled bowls.
  6. Garnish: Sprinkle sesame seeds and green onions on top.
