Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Amazing Burger Bowls
  1. Rinse 1 cup of brown rice in a fine mesh strainer, then bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Once boiling, add the rice, a pinch of salt, and reduce to a simmer. Cover with a lid and cook for about 30 minutes, or until the water is absorbed and the rice is tender. Fluff with a fork and set aside.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add 1 pound of ground beef, seasoning it with salt and pepper to taste. Cook the beef for around 8 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Wash and chop 1 cup of cherry tomatoes in half and shred 2 cups of lettuce. Slice a few pickles according to your preference.
  4. Build bowls starting with half a cup of cooked brown rice, layer the ground beef over the rice, and add the shredded lettuce, halved cherry tomatoes, and sliced pickles. Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together 2 tablespoons of ketchup and 1 tablespoon of mustard to create a tangy sauce. Drizzle the sauce over the assembled bowls.
  6. Serve your Amazing Burger Bowls right away while everything is fresh and warm.
